Prices surge in Burgundy for '96 wines
Article Abstract:
Red and white 1996 Burgundy wines sold at the Hospices de Beaune auction in Nov 1996 sold for an average of 11.8% more than the 1995 vintage. Several small growers have taken out negociant licenses so that they can bid at the auction.
