Can we all just get along?
Article Abstract:
California used to have no caucus in Congress, despite being the largest delegation with 52 members. This fractiousness stems from the members' geographical, political and ideological diversities. However, as bipartisan civility slowly becomes a reality and as federal allocations shrink, California's legislators assembled together to discuss utility deregulation. Many hope that they will finally transcend their partisan beliefs and unite together in voting for disaster relief, immigration reimbursement, allocation of gas tax dollars or education funds for California.

Pete meets the East
Article Abstract:
The problems that Pete Wilson will face as a presidential candidate are obvious. Wilson made the biggest single tax increase the history of the United States. Wilson is pro-choice in a party which is affected by the religious right. Despite these concerns, Wilson is being considered a serious contender for the presidential election. The reasons behind Wilson's candidacy are his comeback capacity, his position as California governor, and the money he can raise.

Pete blasts off (yawn)
Article Abstract:
Lack of response received by the campaign of Pete Wilson, Governor of California, for president of the US throughout the Eastern US is a strong indicator of his general popularity. Controversy created by Pete Wilson through an anti-illegal immigrants speech and demand of death sentence for a cop killer in front of Statue of Liberty for gaining public attention is discussed.
