Many women with peripartum cardiomyopathy have a good prognosis, especially if they are young and have no other health problems. Peripartum cardiomyopathy is a heart disease that occurs during pregnancy or shortly after childbirth.

Mild gestational hypertension remote from term: progression and outcome
Article Abstract:
Pregnant women who have mild hypertension at any time during the pregnancy have a high risk of developing preeclampsia, a serious complication of pregnancy. In a study of 748 pregnant women with mild hypertension, 46% developed preeclampsia and 10% developed severe preeclampsia.

Does an obese prepregnancy body mass index influence outcome in pregnancies complicated by mild gestational hypertension remote from term?
Article Abstract:
The influence of increased prepregnancy body mass index (BMI) on pregnancy outcome in women with mild gestational hypertension remote from term is studied. In patients with mild gestational hypertension remote from term, an obese prepregnancy BMI was associated with similar rates of progression to preeclamsia.
