HDAC7 supports vascular integrity
Article Abstract:
A study has shown that the absence of histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) leads to changes in expression of specific matrix metalloprotease (MMP)-related genes apparently involved with maintaining endothelial cell adhesions and vascular integrity. The finding highlights the potential of HDAC-Myocyte Enhancer Factor (MEF) complexes in the treatment of life-threatening vascular diseases.

Suppression of breast cancer by chemical modulation of vulnerable zinc fingers in estrogen receptor
Article Abstract:
Current antiestrogen therapy for breast cancer is limited by the mixed estrogenic and antiestrogenic activity of selective estrogen receptor modulators. The function of zinc fingers in the estrogen receptor DNA-binding domain (DBO) is shown.
