Insulin and normal eating
Article Abstract:
The author examines an research project in the United Kingdom that studies dose adjustment for normal eating (DAFNE) strategies for treating type 1 diabetics. The patients were trained to adjust their insulin intake at each meal according to the level of carbohydrates in the food. No significant improvement was seen in blood sugar levels, but quality of life rose significantly.

An RCT into calculating insulin start dose in type 2 diabetes
Article Abstract:
An experiment is conducted to compare two procedures of measuring insulin dosage by administering insulin in patients suffering from type 2 diabetes. The conclusion arrived at indicates that traditional methods are inferior, when compared to the employment of a successful formula constituting height, weight and fasting glucose in gaining control of diabetes.
