A new era
Article Abstract:
The merger of the Royal Geographical Society and the Institute of British Geographers makes the immediate future a time of change and challenge as the two groups consolidate and establish a coherent identity. The plan should consider all of the Society's interest groups to enhance its roles a promoter of geography, source of geographic information and forum on geographical issues. Prioritizing activities to make the best use of financial resources will be a major concern.
