Article Abstract:

The relationship between substance use disorder (SUD) and psychiatric disorder is very complicated, but it is often noticed that the SUD and mental health problems are often linked with each other. Comorbidity often complicates treatment and resolution of both disorders and hence it is very important that nurses working with people with mental health problems, or people who use substances, have an understanding of the interaction between the two.
