Article Abstract:
Fungating malignant wounds are seen in relation to skin cancer or when an internal tumor erodes nearby skin. The wound is fast-growing and extremely painful so agressive cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy are often used to treat the wound. Cleansing of the wound can be extremely painful and must be done with great care.
