Opinions about doctors deceiving insurance companies to obtain health services for their patients
Article Abstract:
Some Americans believe their doctor should lie to an insurance company to get the company to pay for certain tests and treatments, according to a survey of 700 people. One-fourth of the people surveyed felt this way, and 70% said the doctor should appeal any denial of coverage. However, half of those who believed the doctor would not have time to appeal said the doctor should lie to prevent the denial of coverage.
