Prospects for an AIDS vaccine
Article Abstract:
Several theories of evidence indicate that development of an effective vaccine for HIV is going to be extremely difficult. A renewed, organized, focused effort is needed to overcome the inability to solve fundamental scientific questions, which is the root cause for why a successful vaccine is not currently within the grasp.

Reversion of CTL escape-variant immunodeficiency viruses in vivo
Article Abstract:
Engendering cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) responses is likely to be an important goal of HIV vaccines. Studies indicate that in absence of selective pressure upon transmission to new hosts, these original escape mutations can be lost, suggesting that some HIV CTL epitopes will be maintained in human populations.
