Quantum leap
Article Abstract:
Enrolled nurses describe participation in the 'Nursing Times' open learning conversion course to registered status. Student-centred learning caused initial difficulties. However, participants gained support and encouragement from each other. Flexible self-directed learning proved beneficial to employers with the implementation of new ideas. Participation improved assertiveness and self-confidence. It also stimulated the desire for further self-improvement.
