Radiation, chimpanzees, and the origin of AIDS
Article Abstract:
A cross-species infection hypothesis claims that HIV was transmitted to humans from primates on two distinct occasions in Africa during the 1980s, probably through a bite wound. According to an altered selection pressure hypothesis, HIV existed exogenously in human beings for a long time, and due to changes in human behavior, they have evolved to virulence. HIV's appearance may be attributed to the ability of X-radiation to externalize bacteriophage from the lysogenic state in bacterial chromosomes and chimpanzees' exposure to such radiation.

Attempts to use computers as diagnostic aids in medical decision making: a thirt-year experience
Article Abstract:
Research using the computer program, HEME2 with modified Bayesian algorithm, determined the inability of computers to replace or simulate the human brain in decision making processes. The impossibility of integrating complex brain processes in computer programs has been identified as the major obstacle in such endeavor. However, findings showed the value of computers in helping physicians make accurate diagnosis. As such, research should be geared towards development of programs for that purpose.
