Reducing waste in U.S. health care systems
Article Abstract:
The health care system in the U.S. does not deliver safe, effective, patient-centered and equitable care to patients due to the huge waste of time and money in the system. Various types of waste in the medical system including waste of overproduction, processing and movement are analyzed, also recommending evidence-based biomedical interventions and adoption of rigorous quality improvement methods to achieve efficiency.
