Universal screening for methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus at hospital admission and nosocomial infection in surgical patients
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine effective methods of controlling the spread of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) among patients after surgery. The universal screening of patients did not reduce the incidence but suggested that hospitals need to assess the specific situations and take suitable preventive measures.
