Write about now: journaling can be an effective tool for expressing what's on your mind
Article Abstract:
A University of Texas at Austin study discovered that more than 70% of people suffering traumatic events reported that they had a better understanding of the events and of themselves after writing and them. Psychology professor James Pennebaker, Ph.D., conducted that study and another which found that students who, for 20 minutes, three times weekly, wrote about their fears of beginning college, had fewer doctors' visits than students writing about more superficial subjects.
