Garden and home centers are installing interactive lawn and garden kiosks to boost their lawn and garden product sales and offer gardening tips to customers. Home, Yard & Garden Net's Smart Yard & Garden Center, an in-store lawn and garden kiosk with Internet access, offers information on lawn and garden products, on-line shopping and a gardening encyclopedia. Other companies use lawn and garden CD-ROM discs and offer on-line gardening services. Sunset Publishing's Western Garden CD-ROM provides information on plants by names, characteristics, and watering amounts.
