Labor mobilization against republican incumbents in congressional elections, 1996-2004
Article Abstract:
Labor contributions can have a significant impact on congressional elections if they are targeted more effectively as evidenced by the victory of Democrats in the congressional elections between 1996 and 2004 which was largely due to the contributions by labor. Labor resources need to be shifted not between campaigns and organizing drives but away from counterproductive contributions and invested in challengers who can defeat them.
