Writing wrongs; teachers of legal prose struggle for higher status, equal treatment
Article Abstract:
Legal writing instructors' struggle to gain the same employment status as other law school faculty members is discussed. The ABA does not require the law schools it accredits to provide such instruction, and a disproportionate number of legal writing instructors languish at the bottom of the faculty hierarchy.

The increase in cases claiming Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations since 1998 is discussed. These involve mainly when an employee is considered to be at work and whether an employee's job title is an accurate description of the job responsibilities.
