Flextech and ITC face court battle
Article Abstract:
Flextech has received the go signal of the High Court to conduct a judicial review of the Independent Television Commission's (ITC) new bundling regulations that allegedly violate minimum carriage requirements (MCRs) between cable and satellite channels and distributors. The decision of the High Court was issued in response to complaints filed by Flextech and Sci-Fi Europe. The company stated it decided to file a petition because it believes that ITC has acted outside its legal authority when it issued the new rulings in June 1998. Flextech expects to have its case against ITC heard in court within three months.
