Article Abstract:
ITN is imposing several changes at Euronews, the pan-European news channel, as part of the three-tiered business plan for the Lyons-based station. ITN, which purchased 49% of Euronews parent Socemie in November 1997, will bring a new program schedule as well as regularly-updated news, sports and weather reporting every half-hour to the station, beginning Oct. 26, 1998. The station is also slated to enhance its weather service and football coverage as well as more focus on European events and how they impact people in Europe.
