Operation Iraqi Freedom: a surgeon's perspective
Article Abstract:
A vascular surgeon's experiences while providing surgical support for the operational combat force in Iraq are described. He reflects on his interaction with the common people of Iraq during the Operation Iraqi Freedom and about the changes he has seen in their attitudes after saving their lives.

Veteran's Day: The price of freedom

Veteran's Day is celebrated in US every year in the month of November and it is one of the special dates for all the Marines and former Marines to reflect upon. The price paid by the families of the Marines for the sake of freedom of the nation is discussed.

A high school student comes to the realization of the importance and significance of Veterans Day and Memorial Day. However, she also believes that we should be grateful to the vererans every day, not just on special occasions.
