Revising the composite score: separating above average Marines from the pack
Article Abstract:
Marine Corps personnel must pass a test in order to receive a promotion. An analysis of the test shows that too much weight is given to pro/con scores and not enough weight is given to experience, and that recruiting effectiveness should not be given any consideration.

Engineers are not logisticians
Article Abstract:
The Marine Corps often seems to regard its engineers as logisticians, even though there is a fundamental difference between the two designations. This attitude often makes for confusion, and a certain lack of identity for engineers.
