Article Abstract:
Textron Systems' Pre-Planned Product Improvement (P3I) variant of its air- to-ground Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW) was able to neutralize over twice the number of targets and score four times more direct hits compared to the older version. The P3I variant of the direct-strike, high-speed smart munition SFW, which was test-fired from an F-16 in Florida, is expected to be the munition for the Joint Stand-Off Weapon.
