Cashmere snags U.S. trade sanctions
Article Abstract:
The US government has failed to impose a self-imposed deadline for the new trade sanctions against the EU due to Prime Minister Tony Blair's intervention on behalf of Scotland's cashmere industry. The beef and banana industries are urging Pres Clinton to increase punitive duties on targeted EU products from 200% and even 300%.
