Dual shower heads land hotel in hot water
Article Abstract:
Westin Hotel & Resorts has been criticized by water conservation advocates over its plan to install dual shower heads at all of the 32,000 hotel rooms it operates across the US. The hotel chain says the dual shower head delivers up to 5 gallons per minute but complies with federal law limiting each head to 2.5 gallons per minute. However, the dual shower head is the wrong idea at the wrong time, according to Adan Ortega, VP for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.

Starwood raises a roomy curtain on 'Heavenly Shower'
Article Abstract:
Starwood Hotels & Resort will roll out a new bath shower that would be used at 70 Westin hotels across the US. The new shower would have dual heads that can deliver twice as much water as single heads. It would also have a curved rod that makes the shower curtain bulge out, giving bathers more space. Starwood also plans to alter the water pressure and the hot water boilers to make sure the new shower heads satisfy the hotel chain's guests.
