FedEx ads drag out time-tested premise
Article Abstract:
FedEx's commercial shows male action dolls dressed in frilly dresses. The spot, 'Action Figures,' which was created by BBDO in New York, NY, reveals the time-tested appeal of gender-bending comedy to audiences. An Ad Track survey reveals that 25% liked the commercial but that the percentage of respondents who disliked the spot is 13%. An interesting result of the survey is the fact that a greater percentage of women liked the commercial, which is 28%, than men, which is 22%.

Despite the mixed results, thousands of Americans have expressed their desire to own a PT Cruiser whose price ranges from $16,000 to $22,000 'fully loaded.'
