Fliers enjoy nonstop bonanza with new jets
Article Abstract:
New jets for commercial flights are giving passengers a huge advantage by eliminating the need to change planes when travelling to mid-sized cities. The new Boeing 737 and Airbus A-320 accomodate around 140 passengers and can fly further than the bigger sized planes, making them ideal for less-traveled destinations. With the new generation of commercial aircraft, domestic flights have increased in major cities for airlines such as American, which doubled its transcontinental flights since 1990 and United Air Lines, which increased routes by around 75%.
