Article Abstract:

CCH Canadian, meanwhile, is expected to increase its revenue to about C$70 million following its purchase of the tax software unit, according to President and CEO John Pineo.

Intelcan shelves $28-million IPO
Article Abstract:
Intelcan Technosystems Inc., a Nepean, Ontario-based engineering and construction company, has postponed its C$28-million initial public offering. The move is a result of the weak stock market conditions in Canada. The company wanted to use the proceeds from the IPO to expand into Latin America and Eastern Europe. The company's growth will not be affected by the postponement of the IPO, since it obtained alternative sources of financing to expand Intelcan's headquarters, form new subsidiaries and develop new products. Intelcan posted earnings of C$6.5 million in 1997, and revenues of C$42.7 million.
