Florida to investigate tire shortcut allegations

Florida officials will investigate allegations made by four retired Bridgestone/Firestone workers on Oct 26, 2000 regarding production shortcuts that could have resulted to the tire failures that caused fatal vehicular accidents in the state. The sworn testimony by the retired workers gives Florida's Attorney General a strong ground to file a criminal or civil case.

Tight new-home inventory props up real estate market
Article Abstract:
Business-savvy homebuilders in the United States are getting customers before building houses in the rapidly changing industry in 2003. Gluts of unsold new homes are earmarks of every big real estate in the last quarter century but tighter inventory control by builders, and the people who finance them, coupled with high demand is a strong prop for high home values.
