Playing war, but with a new set of rules

Big Time Software's Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord computer war game is a turn-based game rendered in 3-D. It is set in the WW II's Western Front in 1944 and 1945. Players assume control of either the Allied or German forces. Players pause the game to enter commands for their troops using a context menu. Then the program runs the game for about a minute, while users view the effects of their strategy. This can be done in 3 ways: looking down on a map, an aerial view, or a ground level view from alongside the troops. The game offers a detailed visual experiences which effectively involves the player in the action.
