Bringing wealth to the poor: a deed for every home
Article Abstract:
Developing countries and former Communist countries are often riddled with social and economic chaos, but what the Instituto Libertad y Democracia in Lima, Peru has found is that the large majority of citizens who are affected by this chaos are not greatly impoverished. They have greater assets than most of the West realizes, but they have no way to turn these assets into liquid capital.

Microcredit and IT for the poor
Article Abstract:
The founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh believes that information technology (IT) has the capacity to remove the social and economic barriers of poverty, and allow individuals to realise the potential that poverty has suppressed. Grameen Bank offers microcredit loans to the poor to allow them access to the opportunities that IT provides.

The rich should not forget the ROW (rest of world)
Article Abstract:
Observations are presented regarding the polarity of the rich and the poor, and proposals are made to redeploy the wealth of certain countries for the benefit of the poor regions of Latin America, Africa and Asia. The cancellation of debt is one solution offered, plus the development of an anti-poverty coalition.
