Decline and fall
Article Abstract:
An examination of the role and relevance of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) in the light of the damage done to it by the internal squabbling over how to deal with Iraq. It is argued that the damage done to NATO will have more impact on the UK than on any other nation, as the UK moving more and more towards seeing its future as one allied to the US point of view, rather than at the head of an integrated European military force that had the capability to underpin a common, European, foreign policy.
