Human rights instruction at the U.S. Army School of the Americas
Article Abstract:
This article examines the influence of the U.S. Army School of the Americas on the armed forces of Latin America. The author challenges the notion that United States military involvement contributed to a worsening of human rights violations in Latin America, and argues that the USARSA instructed Latin American military and security forces to support universal concepts of human rights.
