Are reaching movements planned to be straight and invariant in the extrinsic space? Kinematic comparison between compliant and unconstrained motions
Article Abstract:
Constrained and unrestricted motion have shown to have very different characteristics. Two experiments studying task-oriented hand motion measured differences in speed, duration, accuracy, and path of movement. Results suggest that the generation of constrained and unrestricted movement involve different underlying planning strategies.

The role of relational processing in memory for actions: a negative enactment effect in free recall
Article Abstract:
The enactment effect demonstrates that information is more likely to be recalled if it is acted out rather than traditionally studied. A study consisting of three experiments measures the effects of this phenomenon, using different types of relational data.
