Developmental differences in implicit and explicit memory performance
Article Abstract:
Developmental differences in conceptual and explicit memory tasks were explored using perceptual and conceptual implicit and explicit memory tasks as well as perceptual and conceptual study processing. Results reveal a developmental difference in conceptual memory tasks although particular memory performance forms exhibited independence from age. Further, mental processes involved in memory tasks are developed at an early age.

Verbal cues facilitate memory retrieval during infancy
Article Abstract:
Infants who received verbal cues only at the time of retrieval exhibited superior retention relative to infants who received verbal cues only at the time of original encoding (experiment 2B). These findings demonstrate that verbal cues can enhance memory retrieval by participants who are not yet fluent speakers themselves.
