Factor replicability and validity of the Temperament and Character Inventory in substance-dependent patients
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to make an independent assessment of the Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI) using inpatient and outpatient samples with a disorder of substantial relevance to the psychobiological model of personality. It was established that the conceptual separation of temperament and character within a psychobiological model of personality presented by C.R. Cloninger and colleagues offers a theory with substantial potential to direct empirical research into the causes, course and treatments for a range of psychiatric disorders.

Assessing elementary school children's social skills: evaluation of the parent version of the Matson evaluation of social skills with youngsters
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to evaluate JL Matson's principle that the Teacher Version of the Matson Evaluation of Social Skills with Youngsters (MESSY) can be applied to parents and it can be averaged across multiple reporters. Teachers and parents of 178 children participated in the study. Results indicate that teachers had a better ability to identify skills associated with cognitive functioning while they had a fairly similar ability to report on items related to playground behavior.
