Hazardous measures: an interpretive textual analysis of quantitative sensemaking during crises
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of computer-supported interpretative analysis of organizational texts and documents reveals that different entities use different vocabularies for inquiry sensemaking. The study reveals that the computer aided approach is a valuable tool for determining quantitative data from textual variables and these data have been found to be valuable in determining scientific descriptions.

Managerial accounts of downsizing
Article Abstract:
An analysis of managerial accounts of downsizing reveals that there are nine key themes present and that 'languages' used fall into either strategic, process or cost versus consideration languages. Themes in managerial accounts of downsizing include rationalization, cost reduction, productivity, policies, external business environment, concern, reasons for not downsizing, and drawbacks.
