School adjustment, school membership and adolescents' future expectations
Article Abstract:
Two studies were conducted on the effects of school adjustment and membership on students' future expectations. Multiple regression analysis on 307 5th-12th graders reveals that predicted future expectations are influenced by social acceptance in schools. Measurement of future expectations using 164 female students supports initial findings that students' experiences in school and with peers have a significant impact on future expectations.

Prayer in the lives of late adolescents
Article Abstract:
Social scientists have largely neglected the topic of prayer, which is a behaviour undertaken by most people at some time. A study of college students given the Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status, found a link between identity status and frequency of praying, and between identity status and commitment to religion. Prayer may be a revealing approach to the psychosocial lives of adolescents.
