Structured writing about stressful events: exploring potential psychological mediators of positive health effects
Article Abstract:
This article investigates potential mediators of the beneficial effects of structured writing about stress on symptomatology in asthma and rheumatoid arthritis patients. Results indicate that potential mediators such as sleep quality, affect, and medication use did not influence the health benefits gained from structured writing.

Improving cardiovascular recovery from stress with brief poststress exercise
Article Abstract:
The use of exercise to cope after a stressor and to improve cardiovascular recovery is investigated. Results indicate that poststress exercise increases initial cardiovascular arousal and improves cardiovascular recovery. The impacts of exercising after a stressor on blood pressure and heart rate are discussed.

Psychosocial stress and social support are associated with prostate-specific antigen levels in men: results from a community screening program

Research about how psychological stress and social support affect the presence of prostate-specific antigens (PSA) in men. High stress levels were associated with PSA but other explanations for this result are considered.
