Taxation and work: both sides of the market are important
Article Abstract:
Studies on the relationship between taxation and work carried out by Dilnot and Duncan, Calderwood and Webley and James in 1992 were analyzed. All three were criticized for focusing on a small population, being short-term oriented and dealing only with the supply side of the market, disregarding the effects of tax changes on the demand side. Proposals coming from the Netherlands Scientific Council for Government Policy on increasing women's participation in the labor market are discussed as an example of a broad approach to the problem.

Construing economic and political reality
Article Abstract:
Theoretical aspects in the Psychology of Personal Constructs are applied to the analysis of economic and political discussion by economic experts covering the period of the years 1991-1995. Several references to the concept of confidence in relation to economic and political decision making suggest the need for a new dimension of transition. Confidence is seen as the awareness of the constant revalidation of one's expectations and hypotheses.

Simon's travel theorem and the demand for live music
Article Abstract:
Research generalizing Herbert Simon's Travel Theorem to the music business is presented.
