... and stop the anti-imperialist rot?
Article Abstract:
Many historic buildings built in a foreign style have been destroyed in cities across the world over recent decades, with developers and local authorities viewing them as nothing more than foreign structures which represent old imperial powers. In both India and Ireland, for example, structures built by the English have been particularly vulnerable. In Ireland, this attitude is misguided, as the country's 18th century architecture was in fact influenced much more by continental Europe than by England.

Sufferin' satellites, The Comic is dead
Article Abstract:
The boys' comic of the 1950s, the Eagle, is in demand at auctions. Artwork of Dan Dare by Frank Hampson is expected to sell for 400 pounds sterling at a Christie's auction on Mar 18, 1993. Hampson was forbidden to draw his creation after 1975 because of copyright restrictions. Publisher IPC lost 300 Dan Dare artwork boards. The Eagle archive is owned by Dutch firm Egmont at Fleetway Editions. Book-cover illustrations have also been sold, causing objections from artists.

A handbag on wheels
Article Abstract:
The differences between men and women are clearly reflected in their attitudes towards cars. Women tend to be tidier than men in the house, but often leave their car dirty and uncared for. In contrast, men are generally untidy at home, but will spend many hours cleaning their car. Women are not very interested in the external styling of a car, and are more concerned about the practicality of its interior.
