Article Abstract:
There will inevitably be dilemmas to address when coping with organizational politics, whatever approach you choose to adopt. It is important to be aware that you can overcome organizational politics and still retain your integrity. The best way to deal with organizational politics is to be strategic, take long-term views and deal with people in a considerate manner.

Take me to your facilitator
Article Abstract:
The concept of strong individual leadership ended with the beginning of the 1990s, and since then leaders have tended to be seen as too indecisive. People now make many demands of their leaders, expecting them to be both strong and open to the opinions of others. The same is true in business, where the dilemmas facing managers are similar to those facing political leaders. In the future, business leaders will be required to exhibit a new set of talents, basing their activities on the concept of 'facilitation.'

How to be a good role model
Article Abstract:
Good leadership skills are becoming increasingly important in the workplace as many companies go through difficult times. The best leaders are not necessarily those who are right at the top of companies. Indeed, middle managers tend to provide the most positive role models. Even in changing times, the key characteristics of a good leader, such as having a vision and acting as an agent for change, remain as important as ever.
