Arafat trembles with emotion as the red carpet rolls out for Clinton
Article Abstract:
Palestinians living in Gaza, Gaza Strip, have generally reacted rather cynically to the visit by President Bill Clinton. They feel that Clinton's visit has done more to boost Yasser Arafat's Palestinian Authority than it has for ordinary people. Arafat clearly regarded the visit as extremely important, and displayed great emotion. Clinton has stated that the Palestinian people are free to choose their own destiny in their own country.
