Article Abstract:

Photographer and writer David Seidner had his first magazine cover at the age of 19. This was in Paris, France, also the venue for his first solo show, which took place in 1978. He became particularly well known for his technique of taking portraits from above with a telephoto lens to equalize the distortion. His style was characterized by super-imposition, fragmentation and multiple exposure. He worked continually for magazines, and also created advertising campaigns.
