Actor Bernard Zanville, known as Dane Clark, gained a BA from Cornell University and a law degree from St John's University, New York, NY. He had a number of jobs before writing for radio, which in turn led to acting. He made his Broadway debut in 1934 in Friedrich Wolf's 'Sailors of Catarro,' and in 1935 appeared in 'Panic.' He joined the Group Theatre, touring in several plays. He gained a contract with Warners, and then took on a number of 'best buddy' roles.

Don Taylor

Actor, director and writer Don Taylor studied law at Pennsylvania State University, along with speech and drama. He was taken on by MGM, and had small parts in a number of films in 1943 before joining the army. His first film after the second world war was 'Song of the Thin Man,' released in 1947. His career did not progress as well as he would have liked, and he turned to drink. He decided to take a new direction, and became a prolific television director.

Hurd Hatfield
Article Abstract:
Actor Hurd Hatfield studied acting at Michael Chekhov's Dartington Hall company in Devon, England. His professional debut came in 'The Lower Depths' in 1939. He was signed by MGM while the Dartington Hall company was playing on the West Coast of the US, and appeared in the 1944 adaptation of the novel 'Dragon Seed.' He appeared on Broadway, and also undertook a wide range of television work, including 'The Rivals' and 'The Importance of Being Ernest.'
