'Cleansing' Bosnia at a camp called Jasenovac
Article Abstract:
Civil war between Serbs and Croats is reminiscent of the Second World War concentration camps in Yugoslavia where 700,000 were murdered. Saws and axes were used to behead the prisoners. The Croatian Utasha hanged Slavonian peasants at the roadside. Documents are filed in the Bosanske-Krajine archives showing the military orders to commandeer the homes and property of Serbs, who were considered enemies of Ante Pavelic. The files use the word 'cleansing.' Jasenovac was one of several Croatian camps modelled on Nazi concentration camps.

Innocents banished to the ends of the earth
Article Abstract:
Muslims in Bosnia were forced to leave their homes and lands in ethnic cleansing. They had been threatened with death and ordered to pay an exit tax to leave. They were bussed from the Serbian Red Cross office in Banja Luka. across the river Sava at Bosanska Gradiska into the hands of Jordanian UN in Novska, Croatia. Then they were sent on by train to Zagreb and thence to Sweden and Germany. Some left family behind in Banja Luka and feared Serb spies would harm them.

Muslims grieve in Bosnia's innocent hills
Article Abstract:
Serbian mayor of Prigedor Milomar Stakic explains how Muslims were captured by the army for protection from the war and kept in an open detention centre at Trnopolje. Their homes in Kozara were burned and ruined. No-one is sure where the women and children were taken. Those transferred from the Omarska camp show signs of malnutrition. Mr Stakic hopes the 2,000 inmates of Trnopolje will be exchanged for Serbs kept in Croatia.
