Article Abstract:

The world of classical music remains very conservative and restricted, according to jazz musician Chick Corea. He tries to ignore critics' opinions when he performs classical music such as a Mozart piano concerto. He feels that classical musicians and jazz musicians are constantly learning from each other. He is shortly to perform his Concerto No 1 for Piano and Orchestra for the first time in the UK. He has recently recorded this work and 'Spain' for Sony Classical.
