Cook says Serbs will pay for atrocities
Article Abstract:
UK Foreign Secretary Robin Cook has visited the site in Velika Krusa, Kosovo, Yugoslavia, where large numbers of ethnic Albanian men and boys were murdered by Serb forces. He has emphasized that those responsible for this crime and others against the ethnic Albanians of Kosovo will be brought to justice. However, he is to discuss with his counterparts in Germany, France and Italy the need to preserve a multi-ethnic Kosovo and to ensure the even-handedness of the K-For peacekeeping force.

Returning to the village of 100 orphans
Article Abstract:
The massacre of 45 ethnic Albanian civilians in Racak, Kosovo, Yugoslavia, by Serbian Interior Ministry police and paramilitaries on Jan 15, 1999, was subsequently to be repeated across Kosovo as the Rambouillet peace talks between the Serbs and Albanians failed and Nato began bombing Yugoslavia. This event made it clear that the Yugoslav authorities did not intend to honour the ceasefire agreed in Oct 1998 and that President Slobodan Milosevic would ignore unarmed monitors.
