Croats burn and kill with a vengeance

Croat troops have undertaken extensive 'ethnic cleansing' in the Krajina region, making it extremely unlikely that Serbs will ever return to live there. United Nations soldiers stationed around the town of Knin are finding considerable numbers of bodies of recently murdered Serb civilians, but this situation is attracting little international attention. Similar events took place when the Serbs declared their independence from Croatia in 1991, but the international reaction seems to be different this time because Croatia is keen to join the European Union.

Article Abstract:

The recent Israeli attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut was targetted at Hizbollah, although the organisation's headquarters building in the area was not damaged. Many observes feel that the attack was part of attempts by Shimon Peres to convince Israeli electors that he has the power to fight back against the so-called 'Islamic terror.' For a long time, Israel has restrained from attacking Beirut, but now appears to have abandoned this policy.

Article Abstract:

United Nations troops and observers have come across many cases of acts of violence and arson carried out by the Croat army and policy against the remaining Serbs in Krajina. The Croats refuse to acknowledge officially what is taking place, and United Nations troops have no power to prevent acts undertaken by individual Croats. The Croat police are taking no steps to track down those responsible for acts of 'cleansing.'
