David Hodges
Article Abstract:
Architect David Hodges joined the Architectural Association School instead of going to university. He was taken into the architectural firm owned by Louis de Soissons as an apprentice, and during this time passed his architectural exams. He obtained his first commission at the age of 20 from Vita Sackville-West. He was involved in reconstruction projects after the second world war, and also designed private houses. He became consultant architect to the MCC at Lords and to Eton College. His final and largest project was the Brighton Marina.

Goldfinger: he's the man with the modern touch
Article Abstract:
The popularity of architect Erno Goldfinger has grown significantly since his death in 1987. Goldfinger's most notable works include Alexander Fleming House, which has now been revamped and turned into very popular flats; while Balfron Tower has been awarded a grade II building listing. Goldfinger's last commission was the 33 storey Trellick Tower in west London. An overview of the architect's life and career is given.
